I like the latest updates and newest products tabs, but one thing that I am now facing (now lots of products are added) is the lack of a way to order products.

I would happily give up one or both tabs for a way to order them on the products page.

At the moment I can't really do anything with this suggestion because I have no idea what criteria you would want to base the ordering on.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks coming back so quick. I see what you mean.... I was just hoping for a sort order on each product, as we do for nodes.

I'd say a simple Display Order : # would suffice for me. Label my every 10/50 so I can always go back and put items in between others easily.

    Oh I see... Ok.

    Fair suggestion...

I have an idea but don't know when I'll work on it yet.

I haven't implemented it how you thought I was going to implement it :p

If you have permission, a new tab appears on the product list:

Clicking that new tab may at first be a bit odd as clicking it doesn't load anything. In fact, it's a text box...

And the products are drag and droppable... ;)

    Excuse the poor quality GIF.

Note that because products are paginated, any user who has permission to set the custom order of the products will always load the entire list of products without pagination. This is needed as otherwise it wouldn't be possible to re-order the products properly.

Now you are just showing off.

Could you maybe use a slider control? (eg. Edit mode on/off)

    Great work Chris! :)
